Bin Laden is Dead

The news is everywhere, so I won’t bother linking to it. Go anywhere for details. However, I have the following observations:

Now Osama gets to spend some quality time with thorn-cocked Gulbuth The Rampant. Have fun, dirtbag.
Before taking a bullet, bin Laden apparently used a woman as a human shield. Fucking coward.
As usual, Al Jazeera has far better coverage than CNN or MSNBC. Fox News employs no actual journalists, so they don’t count.
George W. Bush issued a classy statement; apparently, Obama called him personally with the news. This reinforces my opinion of him: nice guy, too bad he was such a terrible President.
The despotic regime in Pakistan loses face, big time. They either had no idea bin Laden was holed up in a palace in an Islamabad suburb (very unlikely,) or they did know, and willfully concealed that fact from everybody. Either way it’s a black eye for a regime that the world would be better off without.
This has the potential to win the election for Obama; it removes a major axis for Republican criticism.
